I was an artist before anything else. This series of paintings is one that I began in my early twenties. At the time my work was mainly abstract expressionist. Since then I have reworked the paintings, adding figures and other details. The paintings are inspired by the beauty and diversity of humanity, the complex emotional dynamics within relationships, and the spiritual dimension that underlies it all.
